Going home soon!

Mama is ready to go home - to Michigan! Florida has been wonderful the past few months - no snow - but we are anxious to get back home. Our family is there plus mama will get to see her first husbands children - it has been a long time. Her daughter and son from her first marriage have stayed in close contact with her and I feel a part of that relationship as well. Life is good and it pays to work through those difficult times. Equally as important are her grand children which are from "our" daughter. In fact on Sunday the 27th we will all get together for a birthday dinner for our daughter. Mama's first husband will be there as well! He is planning to bring his wife.

We leave Florida this Monday morning dark and early. About noon we will stop in Alabama at a Cracker Barrel for lunch. We plan to meet Crossview (Blogger we have never met!) with her family. We plan to go to Mammoth Cave on Tuesday and then on Wednesday get home.

Please pray for us as we travel and if you can remember, pray for the birthday dinner, especially for mama's first husband. I will be off line starting Sunday the 20th at about 2PM.

Forver trying to get a rise, aren't you! How does Mama put up with you!

I like how you break your trip up...like stopping at a Cracker Barrel (my favorite home away from home)...and then going to Mammoth Cave. It makes a long trip much more enjoyable to have those stops along the way!

See you next week! Now you will have to behave yourself on the campground, or I'll tell on you!

Praying you will have a wonderful, safe trip back to Michigan. Oh dear, that means you will be about 2 1/2 hours from me. Maybe it would be best if papa stayed in Florida 1200 miles away!! 2 1/2 hours is way too close! Nice picture of mama and her first husband's family.

Hey, Papa, I just wanted you to know that I started a new blog...on my book "Reflections on Genesis". I'm adding pictures to the story line, and I think it's turning out pretty cool. I know you are shutting down today to start traveling, but I wanted you and your readers to know about this blog: http://reflectionsongenesis.blogspot.com

I don't remember how to make this a link, so I just stuck in the address to the site. Thanks for letting me advertise for free! See you Thursday!

Have been praying for all of you as you travel. The worst part is knowing that papa is getting closer and closer to where I live in Ohio. It is safer having him 1200 miles away in Fl. rather than 2 1/2 hours in Michigan. I guess I could stretch that 2 1/2 hours out if I drive really slow. That's the answer.....I could make it 4 1/2 hours!! Wow! I feel so much better!!

GUess who! We are in Anderson, IN! Spending the night! We will be home by noon Wednesday.

We had a wonderful visit w/Crossview at Cracker Barrel yesterday with some of her family! On a scale of 1 to 10 - give that encounter a 12! We decided that none of us were serial killers and the meeting was worth the risk!
