The road home

Mama and I left Florida at 6:30am Monday morning. A couple of times in the morning we called crossview to make sure we would connect alright. At about noon we arrived at Cracker Barrel and had lunch with crossview, her daughters and her mom. It was a wonderful visit, We were there close to two hours. Her husband wanted to come but had a work emergency so couldn't be there.

Friends - this blogging family is precious. I enjoyed meeting crossview. Agreed, there is some risk in meeting strangers, but if we use a little common sense it can be a great encounter. How many times have we pulled back when Christ has asked us to "step out of the boat"? I think the visit was God ordained. I fell instantly in love with two beautiful young ladies - crossview's daughters, they are precious, Pray for them - the oldest is now a college student and is getting ready for a summer mission trip (mom is petrified!). The other daughter is being home schooled by crossview so REALLY pray for her!:o) Crossview's mom was also there and we all had a great visit.

After meeting crossview, we traveled on to Tenn. In the morning we went to Mammoth Cave for a short cave tour, and then stopped in Indiana to see my sister who is in a nursing home. On Wednesday we finished our trip and arrived "home" about noon.

i just want you to all know that Papa and Mama consider all of you our family. Crossview and I talked quite a bit about what our "role/purpose" in blogging is. Mama and I want oour lives to shine for Jesus and hopefully what we share on our blog site can be a blessing to you. We pray for you each day - and consider this "our" ministry. God Bless!

Blogging is a ministry! I agree!! we seem to encourage eachother to stay on the road that God has laid out for us, and remind eachother of what the Word says...and you never know who is reading just to see what those "crazy Christians"are up too! :) God is good all the time!! Glad you and mama got home safely, and glad you didn't make us wait to hear from you! Love you both!!!

Darla - I was just talking to CDC in her office about how we minister to each other. You, young lady, have given me many thoughts of encouragement. I just got back from the "Prayer cottage" here and what a blessed time I had praying for my blogging friends!

Papa and mama, you are so right. I get maybe on a good post seven comments. But I really do not know how many people really do read my post. I want what I say to glorify God and up lift others. I am so glad that you met and had such a wonderful time. I know some of my blogger friends that live close to my parents in Washington state. I sure hope that I will be able to get with them. Thank you for sharing. Love Tanya

Oh yeah...please give CDC a big hug from me:)

The hug you receive back from her, please consider it my hug to you and mama.

I am so jealous! haha! I want to "meet" you too!!

Yes, blogging is such a huge blessing! I absolutely love it. It's funny the love that can grow in your heart for people you've never really met.

Love you!

It's mind boggling to me that you were just "here" the other day and now you're at the other end of the world! =(

And it's obvious that the Lord is really using you through your blog!
Sometimes, the comments become quite a praise and worship session! How awesome is that??!!

(Was it really almost 2 hours??!! It didn't seem that long!)
ROFL! @ the homeschooling part. =P
If it makes you feel any better, I hs'ed the 18-yr old and she survived. Ok, maybe she has a few minor twitches, but.... =D

Crossview - again that visit was wonderful - and too short. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when you shared your day with hubs!

Wow! I feel so selfish, I blog for the fun of it, it's therapy for me. I hope I glorify God as I write about my family and I do often pray that God gives me the words and wisdom, but a ministry . . .not my blogs . . . But your blogs are certainly a blessing to read, as are some others that I visit regularly. You keep posting and I'll keep reading. Be blessed.

L A - I think you do minister. As Christians we try to present Christ to all. blogging is another way of doing that.

I swear I made a comment yesterday, but I don't see it listed. I'll try again. We are glad to have Jim & Judy back with us. Their first night back we had birthday cake at the camp fire for another resident...it's just good to gather round the camp fire with good friends.

Jim has a wonderful, God-given ministry in his blog world. I am so tickled for him, and all the new phenomenal friends he has made. He has opened up my world also, as I continue to meet you through your blogs, my blogs, his blogs, and emails.

Everybody, keep up the good work you are doing for the Kingdom! May God bless each of you individually in ways only He can, and you will know it is Him!
