Sense of balance - good foundation!

Mama stacked 66 domino's the other night! The whole set! I take some credit - I started it - I did the first four! I set a good foundation - like a good husband should! How is your sense of balance? Mine is pathetic - I have tremors - moderate, I was lucky to get the first four!

I was thinking that our life is made up of balancing many things - family vs work; Christ vs personal desires; marriage vs personal plans. Sometimes we just need to get out of the way. I backed up and gave mama the space she needed - by the way, ain't she cute? heh! heh! and she is mine! However, this morning I am having to get beyond the Ben-Gay odor to concentrate on her beauty!

BY the way, mama and I will be traveling 1200 miles back to Michigan next week, starting Monday. Please pray that we have a safe trip. I will probably do one more post on Saturday then be off line until Thursday the 24th God bless, my friends!

Good post. However, on the eighth row up from the bottom mama needs to go back and turn that one dominoe around. It is the only one facing the wrong way!!! lol Is that picture taken at Rev. Nancy's??? Looks like their place in the background. If so, then those are probably the dominoes that we gave them...which means we get part of the credit for the stacking too!!!!! Mama couldn't have done it without us!!!

Actually Janisi theres two - one on the other side! :o) Yep, it was taken at Rev. Nancy's. Gary, Rev. Nancy's hub said he would give mama a dollar if she could do it - he lost his buck!

Good illustration, by the way. Some people are gifted at being able to use everyday things like that (If stacking dominoes is an everyday thing)to make good points. Not my gift, however. I always say, why didn't I think of that.

Will definitely be praying for your safe return to Michigan.

Another ordinary day in the world that you turned around to be Christ centered! Thanks Papa! I guess it's all in where we place our priorities, right? Maybe I should sit down and evaluate today!

Lori - every day is a good day to do that! :o)

WOW...way to go, Mama! You are the Queen Domino Stacker!

Papa- you are so right about the balancing act. However, it is sooo much easier to balance everything when Jesus is our foundation that will not be shaken!

Great post!!!

Love and Blessings to you and Mama!

Great Job with the dominoes!! Yes we all need balance in our lives. I am learning how to balance everything with a new baby, work and life in general!
You & Mama are so adorable together! I hope you have a great trip home to Michigan! And if you get lost and stop in Lake Placid that would be wonderful!!! Hehehe!

"She smiles all the time - really!"

This says something about how great of a husband you are and how much love she feels!

Keep up the hugs, giggles, and laughs! It means a lot to us ladies!

I will be praying for your trip!! I hope it will go smoothly with no mishaps along the way! I can't wait until you get back online and let us know how it went and that you made it safely back there. You will be so missed around here. I am going to be thinking of you guys and praying for (and being nervous too!) until we hear from you! I love you!!

Mama, that tower is amazing!! I have three boys here that would love to knock it down. ;-) heehee They live for building towers and knocking them down! haha!!

Beka - Lake Placid was one of our favorite places we lived! Wish it was on the way. Your mom & dad was some of our bestest friends!

This is me - Stay tuned! Mama and I will be back - Lord willing! Keep those three boys entertained!

Lori - mama has a great countenance! I can't remember mama ever having a bad countenance. Even when we went through tough times she always kept a smile on her face. I have never found anyone who trusts her Savior like mama!

Papa, I do hope you have a safe journey back to Michigan. I am sure Mama will be doing a lot praying on the trip, especially if you are the one driving. :)

That is a long trip, 1,200 miles. How long does it take you?

Do you take your time or try to get to Michigan as quickly as you can?

Done, you are going to have a wonderful trip. Balance is important. If you are not balanced then life will be always in turmoil. You will always be questioning your faith and not able to do the will of God. Good post. Made me really think. Have you ever thought of using an orderless cream? Then you won't have to live around the smell. Love Tanya

Ed - it takes 18 hours of driving. We drive 9 hours the first day, 6 hours the second day and get there at noon the third day. We plan to take a tour of Mammoth Cave early the 2nd day. We spend the night at Hampton Inn in Lebanon, TN and Anderson,IN. WE break it up to make the trip more enjoyable. I will stop and see my sister in New Albany, IN the 2nd day as well. The first day is very exciting!! We are meeting Crossview, one of our bloggers for lunch! Cool! We are all hyped about that!

Tanya - mama loves her Ben-Gay - I think she thinks its made by Calvin Klien! :o) Actually she uses it rarely - this morning just happened to be one of those rare moments! That picture is 100% mama 24/7!
