Hi friends - I just received word that my sister is in the hospital in New Albany, IN. Please pray for her. She is very special - almost like a "mom".
When my mom got TB I was 2 - 1/2. My sis was 14. Mom was placed in a TB sanitarium and sis dropped out of school to take care of me. She had to postpone her education to take care of me- several years.
She is having colon problems, kidney infection and other infections. She has been unable to walk for sometime now and has been in a nursing home for a couple of years. Now everything else seems to be going to pieces. She was on a ventilator but is now doing okay and is having breathing treatments - Thanks, mama and papa

of course Papa!
will you be able to go visit her?
done.
Sorry to hear this. What is her first name? I will be praying.
Janis
Tam - She was the one we stopped and visited on the way home from Florida. We will wait and see how she is doing - her daughter lives close by and will keep us informed. It is a 5 hour drive - one way. Near Louisville, KY.
Jake and Jess - knew I could count on you - love you both! Hope to see you this summer.
Janis - her name is Joanne. Thanks for your prayers. She is quite the lady! :o) I think she was a worse stinker than me! ha! Thanks for your prayers!
Impossible!! Couldn't be worse than you, papa. I would really hate to think there were two of your kind running around free!!!
Prayers for Joanne are on the way!
Janis
We'll be praying for her as well Papa, and you and Mama. I will pray for that peace that passes understanding...Love you! Debs
I am praying as I am typing to ya. What a special sister. Love Tanya
Praying!
Janis - My sister is one terrific gal - she was able to go back to school and graduated - she had a lot of determination. She helped me catch my first fish and almost got us killed by a train!
Thanks Deb for your prayers, and yes you can adopt us - send us money! ha!
Tanya - prayers are what she needs - for her and her family.
Robin - I was sure as soon as you saw the post you would be praying.

Papa, thank you for sharing your world, your love and your prayers with me. I will try to return some of this love to your sister who I will keep in my thoughts every day.
Thanks Ed, I appreciate your thoughts of my sister - She is a pretty special sister.
We will be praying for your sister! Please keep us updated!
Thanks Rene' - talked to her mid morning she sounded good - was suppose to go back to nursing home today.
I was reminded today of a story when I was 5 - (1948!) I caught Joanne smoking upstairs - She Said: "Jimmie, don''t you dare tell mom or dad" I ran downstairs - hid under the kitchen table where mom and dad were sitting and hollered - "Joanne is smoking!" She was ready to shoot me! HA! she was a stinker! But I learned early as well!
papa, I am praying! And I'm a pretty stubborn pray-er LOL! My mom's name is Joanne, so that will be easy to remember. And 2 years ago, God completely and totally healed my mom miraculously of Uterine cancer after she was told she was going to die in a matter of weeks, no need for treatment cause it wouldn't help. But God...He is so big, so willing, so able..He is love...and loves to lavish His love on us....Joanne too;)
Kelly - thanks for your concern. will probably call her tomorrow to make sure she is doing better. She was suppose to return to the nursing home yesterday.
