Serious prayer request for my sister

Hi friends - I just received word that my sister is in the hospital in New Albany, IN. Please pray for her. She is very special - almost like a "mom".

When my mom got TB I was 2 - 1/2. My sis was 14. Mom was placed in a TB sanitarium and sis dropped out of school to take care of me. She had to postpone her education to take care of me- several years.

She is having colon problems, kidney infection and other infections. She has been unable to walk for sometime now and has been in a nursing home for a couple of years. Now everything else seems to be going to pieces. She was on a ventilator but is now doing okay and is having breathing treatments - Thanks, mama and papa

Tam - She was the one we stopped and visited on the way home from Florida. We will wait and see how she is doing - her daughter lives close by and will keep us informed. It is a 5 hour drive - one way. Near Louisville, KY.

Jake and Jess - knew I could count on you - love you both! Hope to see you this summer.

Impossible!! Couldn't be worse than you, papa. I would really hate to think there were two of your kind running around free!!!

Prayers for Joanne are on the way!

Janis - My sister is one terrific gal - she was able to go back to school and graduated - she had a lot of determination. She helped me catch my first fish and almost got us killed by a train!

Thanks Deb for your prayers, and yes you can adopt us - send us money! ha!

Tanya - prayers are what she needs - for her and her family.

Robin - I was sure as soon as you saw the post you would be praying.

Thanks Rene' - talked to her mid morning she sounded good - was suppose to go back to nursing home today.

I was reminded today of a story when I was 5 - (1948!) I caught Joanne smoking upstairs - She Said: "Jimmie, don''t you dare tell mom or dad" I ran downstairs - hid under the kitchen table where mom and dad were sitting and hollered - "Joanne is smoking!" She was ready to shoot me! HA! she was a stinker! But I learned early as well!

papa, I am praying! And I'm a pretty stubborn pray-er LOL! My mom's name is Joanne, so that will be easy to remember. And 2 years ago, God completely and totally healed my mom miraculously of Uterine cancer after she was told she was going to die in a matter of weeks, no need for treatment cause it wouldn't help. But God...He is so big, so willing, so able..He is love...and loves to lavish His love on us....Joanne too;)
