Spring is here! Time for Papa to Play!

Time to put Papa's toy in the water for the summer. The lake is walking distance from the house.

Looking good! everything is checking out just fine! Started up fine - Lets roll!

One final check before "precious" goes into the water!

Hey it floats! Thats good! Note in upper left corner you can see the "tot lot" for kids! My house is about 400 yards behind my hat. Mama and I have room for 8 more - stop by - please?!

Time for a quick run on the lake - check out the two swans ! They are getting ready to nest on the shore. Spring is here! The lake will have over a 100 swans before spring is over.

Well - time to secure "precious" until the next ride. She is ready to go - where are you?

Loved your pictures! That should make people drool and want to come to Indian Lake Nazarene Camp (www.nazcamp.org) and find out what it's all about!! Hope you have lots of blogging friends dropping by to visit...wouldn't that be fun! By the way, got another pontoon sitting on the ball field needing to be prepped and put in the water...know anyone who has experience at doing that for us????

Hey, if your blogger friends to to the camp web site (www.nazcamp.org) and click on "Family Festival" in the left hand column, and then click on pictures from previous years, won't they see yor winning float in the parade? How many years in a row has your family taken first place?

I wonder....I wonder if I am the only person who has no desire to go out on that pontoon???? Just give me a shade tree, a lawn chair and a good book and I will be happy sitting on shore!

Enjoy your toy!

Janis

CDC - If I hear of anyone that can "prep" your toy I will let you know. We have taken 1st place with our float the last four years we entered! Last year we took a bye! Family Festival on the 4th of July is a great time! We have 35 to 40 people at our house for meals over a 3 day period! fortunately, not all meals!

Janis - you just have to trust Captain Papa - I know - that is a big step!

(Under either September or October posts from this past year there are pics of our pontoon!) Bill says lets race.. haha!! Or when you come for a visit to LP you can ride on ours!!!!

Hi B&B ! We love our pontoon! Jo's kids love to dive and jump off the pontoon in the lake! It is a nice size lake for skiing and boating. Ask Bill if I can bring the Ski Boat to race him?

That looks like so much fun Papa! You two are so lucky to be surrounded by such beauty! :D

Wait! wait! I'm on my way!!!!!

Oh that looks just glorious!!!!

We spent a large part of the day yesterday cleaning our pool. Better than nothin right?

Then I spent another large part contemplating whether or not I wanted to exercise and get this flab ready for pool time!

hmmm...

still contemplating....

Bill says you can bring the ski boat to race... you just have to switch motors with him first!

I am looking forward to jumping off the pontoon boat to go for a swim!! Mmmm wish it was warm enough to do that now! We don't have ours in the water yet.. but hopefully sometime this month!

Tam - I may be wrong, but sitting blogging sucking on Oreo's and a glass of milk is counter productive to getting rid of flab to sit pool side.

Beka - Is the ice off the lakes in LP yet ???? I remember fishing with your dad in May and still see ice on the river - Brrrrr! Wear your ear muffs if you jump in the lake today!

Hey, papa. I would be the cheapest to entertain. Don't have to worry about using all that expensive gas in the pontoon. Just buy me a caff. free diet pepsi!! Gonna treat me to a free RV spot too???? I think you are digging yourself a hole!!! Lol

Sorry Janis - you wouldn't have to drive from ND! With three kids! :o) Papa is just trying to help - ha!

Tam - Someday on iChat you will have to ask mama about her "bikini" she use to wear. Never could get her pool side though! too bashful!

Robin - come on up and stay awhile! It is a neat place!

Mandy - Come on over !! We will give you a picnic lunch or dinner - you will have to sing for it! :o) though!!

Ok, Ok, I knew it. I'm the only one who would prefer to stay on land! I'm special!!!!! (Did I hear you say, I'm weird???)

Bright sunny day. Gonna spend some precious time in the Word and talking with the Lord and then get some work done around here.

Have a great day!

Darla - How are you doing ?? They grow up too fast! Thanks for stopping by on your busy schedule! We love the water - took "precious I" out today with friends - a beautiful day on the lake.

Brandy said...

Papa, I checked map quest and we are about 1000 miles apart. :( That seems like so far! I thought we were closer! It's 17 hours, so we could split it up to two days driving with the boys and pulling our trailer. Hmmmm.... see the wheels turning in my head?! haha!

Love you!

Indian Lake Papa said...

Brandy - it is a long ways. We would very much like to have you - very much. There are two routes - Hwy 2 through the north or I-94 through Chicago. I-94 is closest, but coming through Chicago can be a bear! Keep the wheels turning in your mind! :o)

The ice is off the lakes here! Of course it was only a few weeks ago that it finally disappeared! Can I come and go out on your boat since ours isn't in the water yet?
Oh and that kite flying on your other post looked like lots of fun!!

Indian Lake Papa said...

We would love to have you Beka and Bill! Come on over! Which lake do you put your pontoon in??

Beka and Bill said...

We'll put it in the Saranac's, more places to explore over there with the boat!

Indian Lake Papa said...

Hi Beka - I figured it wasn't Mirror Lake! ha! The Saranac chain is fabulous! I kept mine on Lake Flower but suspect you will keep yours on the Lower Saranac which is very nice. be careful if you go through the locks! Your dad and I put a lot of fishing hours on those lakes!
