God is no where! :o( !!

Today I have been thinking about my neighbor Sherry. You see her husband has had MS for 20 years, she is his primary Care Giver. He is almost totally incapacitated, even his speech is now difficult. To drink he has to sip through a straw. Recently he has been assigned to hospice and is still at home - Sherry has kept him at home all these years, wonder if she thinks God is no where? How is the rest of her life going ?? Her dad is gone, her mother has congestive heart failure, a brother has cancer, her sister has just had cancer surgery and the prognosis is not good ----- yep, God, is no where - Whoops - I see papa has been making a typo - that should read " God is now here!" Sorry about the typo - when you run the letters together Godisnowhere you can go either way - do you switch back and forth? The phrase Godisnowhere is not original with Papa it came up in SS Class this morning, a lady who heard it in Bible Study fellowship (BSF) shared the phrase. How do you break apart the letters - Godisnowhere ?

Oh papa,

I will be praying. Sometimes its hard to see through storms so thick. I personally have never been through so much pain at one time but feel an enormous amount of compassion for anyone going through such a moment in life.

But we must remember....

Its a moment. Gods plans are for good and not harm. And no matter what goes on within ourselves or the lives around us we must keep a holy tight grip of His hand. He doesnt let go. That I do personally know.

Life throws us some painful moments and like you said...

God Is Now Here.

I loved that you shared that phrase with us today!! I will use it somewhere. =)

Janis - she is a lady that knows God is Now Here!

Gretch - thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. There have been many moments that I have felt God right here - now!

God is always here whether we see him or not. There have been times in my life when it seemed like He was nowhere to be found but now I know better. Praying for her to continue to be strong and to find peace through this time.

I don't know who first came up with that but I've always liked it! Not one easily forgotten....

I would imagine that we've all had times where we've felt that God has forsaken us. Thankfully, we realize He hasn't. Sometimes, it's only after looking back that we can see His hand guiding all along.

When my husband's first wife died of cancer at the young age of 32, people would ask, "Aren't you mad at God?" To which he would reply, "Mad? No. God is the Only One who's getting me through this." Judy is now in heaven and I look forward to meeting her someday so we can compare notes on the hubs! Ha ha!

Mostly Sunny - my best friend in college years ago lost his first wife at the age of 27. My own father lost his first wife when she was 21. Sometimes when we would think that God id no where - He is actually the closest!

Scott - you are right - God is always there - maybe we moved - He hasn't left us. How is your visit going?

Crossview - I remember praying one of my most desperate prayers in 1991 - I was so devastated that I couldn't hardly pray - just felt so aloe - yet, God was smiling because He knew all was well!

My world of science holds out great hope for curing illness, but it can't do much to help what Sherry is going through. I hope her faith will help get her past her trials, as it did for my uncle when he was dying of cancer.

For me God is no where, but since I believe that anything is possible, and I certainly don't have all the answers, I'll leave in the question mark. :)

Ed, I am glad you have put in the question mark. I have done that myself a few times! However, when I have removed the question mark its because I have had my faith restored in my Savior and friend. I hope that someday we can both share a cup coffee without the question mark - and in agreement. Even if we don't reach agreement we could share that cup of coffee! I think we'd have a great time - as long as your not baby sitting those cats!!

I like it!

It's all in your perspective...

God is NOW HERE!

Robin - Sometimes if we are not careful we can have the wrong perspective - We have to guard against the attacks of Satan!

Sherry is my co-worker, and keeps our office running. If you call for a reservation at ILNC, Sherry is the one you will talk to. I have been amazed at her strength of endurance over the years, and even in the midst of her complete world seeming to fall apart. She and her husband have strong faith...that is all that has carried them through. My heart goes out to that couple, as well as others on our campground that are going through various stages of cancer and pain. The list is long...overwhelmingly long for one campground. What's in our water here? At least we all have the Living Water to assure us He is in control!

Carol - "Life is not fair!"" Whatever that means - Sherry is a very specisl lady - but she puts her dependence on God.

Papa, it also reminds me on how careful we should be when we tell people about God. We can put a type O in anywhere and cause someone not to see God. I liked your post though, I think it was awesome. I will also pray for this wonderful lady who know Jesus. She puts her burdens in Jesus's hands, she sounds strong. Love Tanya

Tanya - I have three good friends now in Hospice care - all younger than me! some times I do feel like God is no where to be found - but then I watch how He ministers to our families during these times. He is definitely here!

That is so true papa, I have been doing a parenting class at the center. I watch these young mothers make decisions that I use to make. I know that if they would just grasp God, they would get it. He is the only one who can give true love and make you feel loved. He feels that empty well of our hearts. But they keep filling themselves with world. I then look at my children and family and I feel blessed, because they all understand God. I will be praying for all of you friends in Hospice, Bless those men and women who work for hospice. Love Tanya

Tanya -a parenting class is so important - teach from your materials! But deliver from your heart! They need to know the materials, but they need to know it matters even more!

What an awesome post! LOVE IT!

God is now here for me, but I have to admit there are days it seems that God is nowhere. However, we are so blessed to be able to open our Bibles and see that He is, was, and always has been....HERE:)

Love you Papa and Mama!!

Tam - mama says she has a room ready for me too - at some Psych ward! lol

God is always here Tam - we try to step away at times but He stays right here!

You got it Heather! he is always right here! NOW! Please pray for; Alan, Rene, & Bob - all three are going to meet Jesus soon, before the summer is over most likely, and they will be missed by their families.
