Please come pray with us! ( Major Correction!)

Somebody really prays well - !!! I mentioned in my post a few days ago (Please Come pray with us!) about a gentleman who lost his wife a few months ago and needs our prayers. Well - he sure does! He announced his engagement yesterday at a seniors luncheon - there were kisses and even a corsage! We think he is in his early 80's! She is a widow here on the camp. One couple here had a frank discussion about that - the lady looked at her husband and said; "If I die before you do, don't you dare find someone in a few short months and act that happy!" Everyone broke out with laughter!

The gentleman that is getting married sold the widow lady his truck a few months ago - he told the crowd yesterday he is marrying her because he misses his truck! LOL

Be careful how you pray - the answer may not be what you expect!

That's a hoot!!! My friend told me that if she dies she doesn't want anyone to help her husband for at least 2 months so he gets a real taste of what life would be like without her. After 2 months we have her permission to help him out! Thanks for sharing! Be blessed.

LA - your right - here I am feeling sorry for this guy because he is all alone and now he's got this new chick! I am keeping mama locked in the house from now on! i ain't taking any chances - she is too pretty too risk losing her! LOL

It's sweet, Papa, how much you love Mama. . .hold on to her with 2 arms! I hardly think a woman in her "later" years can be called a chick! You crack me up.

Hey LA - Chicks at any age are chicks! people get me confused with Tom Cruise - if you got it - you got it! LOL

I am glad to hear your friend has found happiness again. At least he has his truck back. :)

He is living proof, like you, Mama, and me, that people can get better as they get older.

Of course maybe it's just that we become too forgetful to remember any of the mistakes we make. :)

Well its for sure no one can say to them, "You're just to young to know what you're doing."

So that must mean that his deceased wife was pretty awesome if he was looking to replace her that quickly! =P

Then again it could mean that it was a really nice truck??!!

Ed - My friend is really hyped! Not sure if its over the lady friend or getting his truck back! They have been friends for years - Her late husband use to be a pastor as well.

Keetha - They had better know what they are getting into - people are taking bets as to which house they will move in!

Crossview - He had a nice truck! :o) he was a great example of a christian husband - his wife was hospitalized for over 200 days before her death. She was a remarkable woman.

And to think there are people who say praying is a waste of time! HA!

That is an awesome story. Maybe God has an earthly mate for me after all:) I'm certainly OK if he doesn't!! I have HIM!

Love and Hugs to you and Mama!!!!

"be careful what you pray for.."

or at least be sincere..what the heck! God knows the heart. Glad your friend has someone, and I am sure he is a blessing to her as well, and I am sure she is blessed owning his truck! :)

Robin - it has been fun watching the love birds in action!

Heather - the solution is simple, pray about it, then go find the guy you like - buy his truck - and then tell him there is a way to get that truck back! LOL

Darla - see these folks every day - they are a very neat Christian couple! every body here is excited!

We've had so many funerals the last couple of years here at ILNC, it's nice to have a "fun" event to watch unfold!!

I'm betting on they live at her house...it has a bedroom and bath on the main floor. Something to think about as we age...not climbing steps. Plus she has a gorgeous front porch.

This guy is a romantic par none! She's acting like a school girl in love. It's just great to see such happiness on the faces of some of our seniors here at the camp!

Papa and Mama...they are always smiling too. Wonder what they're up to???
