Had a heart check lately?

Had a heart checkup lately? Mama and I decided to get ours checked today – it has been while. The last thing you need is to find out that something is wrong with your heart. We were hopeful that no blockage would be found. So we had our hearts checked today and the results were good. Our hearts are in good condition. Let me explain, we are in camp meeting. Tonight at the end of the service the preacher asked the crowd, “When is the last time you had a heart checkup?” He then gave an invitation to come to the altar and have a “heart to heart” talk with Jesus – to make sure that everything is clear in your heart. When is the last time you knelt at an altar, or by your bed-side, maybe in your living room, just someplace and asked Jesus to evaluate your heart’s condition? Tonight mama and I knelt together and prayed to Jesus at an altar that He would check our hearts. He really does love you!!

It was an awesome service. The altars were full and people had to stand or kneel behind the first row of those having their hearts checked. It was a Spirit anointed service, one that was hard to walk away from...You just don't experience many of those kind of services anymore. We are three nights into our campmeeting..six nights to go. I think God has only just begun His work amongst us.

What a wonderful feeling to check the heart and find that it is beating properly!! I pray your campmeeting continues to be a great blessing for all. Our Northwestern Ohio campmeeting is July 27-Aug. 1. Missed last year because of our auto accident, but look forward to taking our travel trailer and enjoying the week this year as we have done for many years in the past. When you are at camp you are "Standing on Holy Ground"!!

Janis - As soon as I finish I am going down to Bible study - yesterday he listed the 22 sins ("How are we sinful?") He said he was going to be mean - his first sin was; "gluttonous" !! :o) The Bible study is very good - it is on Romans.

Great post and I'm glad both your hearts are good to go in both the physical and spiritual! I've had a check up in both areas! Both just b/c you have a spiritual check up here and there, it's always good to revisit it every day!

W O W - I am always doing heart checks w/Jesus - I want to be sure I am on the spiritual journey He has for me. Last night was just an extra special check-up! :o)

I am very happy to hear that you that both your physical and spiritual hearts are going strong.

I always do very well on all the heart test my doctor gives me, fortunately he doesn't check my head. :)

Waking up each day being sound of body and spirit is all anyone can ask for.

Darla - kneeling? You really Kneel?? I need to do that more. You answered one of my questions: "Will Darla and I kneel together at the prayer cottage when she comes?" Can I assume the answer is yes? :o)
