Please pray with Papa!

Remember the prayer request I had on my blog? A post I had on July 21, 2008. The following prayer request was submitted on a card at the Prayer Cottage by a 9 year old girl named Brittany. Here it is again.

THE HEAVIEST CONCERN ON MY HEART TODAY IS: "If I am ever going to see my mom or dad. If I'm ever going to really know god or Jesus."

PLEASE HELP ME PRAY ABOUT: "My mom and dad that are both in prison. Me knowing God"
Brittany

Since July I have been trying to "find" Brittany. I did not know her at all. Finally last Friday I got some information and was able to talk to her pastor. Last night Daizy brought her to see me - I did not know she was here! Papa got to hug her! Just a few minutes ago she came by my house with her friend Rachel on their bikes! She brought mama and I the water lilly above!

The journey with Brittany begins ------ Please pray!

Papa, I knew that God would bless your efforts of faithful prayer for Brittney. I am praying right now for God to use you and Mama in a mighty way in her life. I pray God fills you with His spirit and wisdom. Tell Brittney that she is being prayed for by people who love her. If she asks how anyone can love her who doesn't know her, tell it's because of Jesus. I see her through the eyes of Jesus and His eyes see only with love. Bless you for what you are doing. Keep us posted.

What compassion you have. She was obviously touched by your caring. And it's easier to pray for someone once you've met them.

Praying that you and Mama will have wisdom as you minister to Brittney in whatever way you can!

LA - I did discover her name is spelled with an "A"! lol Brittnay! I am still trying to meet the grand parents! They have an RV trailer parked here at the camp.

Char - mama and I are humbled by the fact that God is opening this door so fast! I will work with Brittnay's pastor who I know very well - has a summer home right across the street from me!

Julie - thanks for your prayers. We are excited and cautious - this is one of God's children.

Crossview - your concerns are very well founded! She has been to my house today twice already! which is good but still need to take this slowly. God will lead - if I don't get in front of him! i do that way too often!

Showing young Brittney she is loved. You are making the world a better place, one person at a time. I can't think of a more important, or rewarding, experience.

Brittney will always remember that hug, as I am sure you will.

If everyone lived their life with as much love as you and Mama do there is nothing we could not accomplish.

I will be praying for Brittany. What a blessing to be able to minister to a child in such need. That flower was so sweet and I'm sure the Lord will lead you with helping her. It sounds like the Lord put you in the right place for her.

Nana Trish - Keep Brittany in your prayers. She has some issues to work through. She is a sweetheart! My first goal is to make sure she has a bible.
