Prayer Requests - Please Pray!

I have mentioned the Prayer Cottage before but I thought today I would share some of the requests that have been filled out at the cottage. Those that have prayer requests fill out a card with their requests and the requests are put in a basket. I will give the first name if indicated then their prayer request.

Unknown: My dad passed on the 4th of July and I am just wondering on just where he went.

Nadia: My father to come to know Christ.

Shelley: What is God's call for my life.

Katy: That my dad is okay wherever he is - that he doesn't have an accident or flip-over - he is a truck driver.

Ashlee: My mom & dad won't go to church.

Meghan: My friend has cancer.

Emily: My cousin has a kidney stone - pray for her.

Brittany: My mom & dad are in prison. Will I ever see them again. I need to know God.

Unknown: I don't have many friends - nobody likes me. My mom is pregnant & I want the baby to stay safe & healthy.

Ashlee - Beth: My grandma - mom is about to die - we don't want her to die, but we don't want her to suffer either.

Felicia: That my birth family comes to know Christ. (Felicia is in a foster home)

All the request listed above are from children. That really breaks papa's heart! Each day as I go to the Prayer Cottage I struggle over the requests made by the children. If we could only see a little into their hearts. Please pray for our nation and our families.

Note: Monday the 4th starts Girls Camp - the 18th starts Boys Camp - please pray for these camps.

Wow... I can see where that breaks your heart does mine also. Our children should not have to think of these things. We are suppose to guide them and protect them not have them worry about us and whether they will every see us again or if were going to be with God. Bless you for all you do. I enjoy your posts, and yes I'm Heathers Mom, thanks for visiting my blog

Hi Sharon - we as parents have an awesome responsibility towards the children. Single moms & single dads have an even bigger job serving as 'both" parents. My prayers go out to them. i remember when my mom was gone for a couple of years with TB - my dad did great but this little boy missed his mom and it shaped my life even to this day.

Papa- lifting up these requests now..and yes we do need to pray for our country and families, the children...why do we pray so much for what we want God to do for us, and our country has forgotten to be families, and love and raise their children..as a country we are very self centered, and don't give much thought to how it affects others. heart breaking

My dearest Darla - I pray for you often - and your family - just like all of us God has been faithful - He had his arms out wanting to hold you long before you even knew he was there. Papa really loves you!! Please pray for these kids - I only know one of them personally.

Tam - as far as I know I only know one of them. I will be hopefully seeing her at church. I am keeping my eyes and ears open though.

What a beautiful prayer ministry you have - its so great that the children (and adults) have a place to lay their concerns knowing that others will lift them up to Jesus. Now you've taken it a step further and have invited those of us who may never see the request in person to join you in prayer!

I'm sure you walk around with your eyes open looking for ways to love and serve! It the mandate we've all been given. I was thinking along those lines at the waterpark the other day...

What a blessing to be able to pray for these children and their needs. As we see little kids playing and having fun at the park I often wonder what needs they have. The Lord is able to meet all of them and I appreciate you sharing so we can all pray for them. Thank you.

Robin - your comment about walking around with my eyes open brought tears to my eyes. I don't feel that I do that enough! I am really trying to do my best! Anxious to see your lazy river post!

Nanatrish - pray for mama and I. We really have a burden for the children. Mama also has a prayer group of ladies that she facilitates on Thursday's at the Prayer Cottage. Stop by!

Have prayed for these requests this morning. It is wonderful that your camp has that prayer cottage and that you take advantage of it. God can answer prayer wherever you might be, but having a place set aside just for that purpose is special.

We will be leaving soon to go to the funeral of our District Supt.

Whisper a prayer for his children and grandchildren!!

Janis - I was skeptical at first when they proposed this Prayer Cottage idea - but it has been a wonderful blessing to me. The cottage has strengthened my spiritual life.

Next time you are coming through Atlanta on 75 please get with me and we can go to a neat little restaurant very close to the highway. My job and house are only a couple of minutes from I-75. Can't wait to meet you and mama in person. Just let me know!

I can't figure out how to delete the email comment. Could you give me some simple directions? I'm sorry. I am not computer savvy.

Ed - yout comment was actually put on an earlier post - but I agree about the kids needing hope. Along with that is security - i watch my grandkids run, play, and just live - they feel secure in their love that mom and dad show. They do not worry - as long as mom and dad are there.

I read these yesterday but had to get going before I could comment. And I've mulled them over since then. Something get niggling... And then it finally dawned on me!

These little ones KNOW Whom to reach out to. How awesome is that? For whatever reason; they KNOW.

Uh, something "kept" niggling... DOH!

Crossview - "niggling me"" is just fine. I am glad you got niggled.

Wow Papa...is there any way we can write to these kids? It would be fun to have pen pals and give them some hope...

Love you!!!
