On the road Again!!

Well - mama and I are back from the marriage retreat! she took to the fine tuning just great. We had a wonderful time - we stayed at the Grand hotel on Mackinaw Island. The movie, "Somewhere in Time" starring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves was filmed at the Grand Hotel.

Mama and I are soon (this Friday the 10th) off again. We are off to Oregon! We are visiting two blogging families over a weeks time. We are visiting Deb & Jer (Godsgal) and Tam & Brent (InProgress & InWorship), links to these blogs are on my blog roll. We are excited, we will meet two wonderful families, worship with them and see a state we have never been to.

We would covet your prayers during the next week as we take this incredible journey. Pray for traveling mercies, a good time and that mama and I are good examples of Christ.

I am not sure if we will post between now and our return or not - but some how I am sure Deb and Tam will keep the events posted on their blogs.

God bless!

Mama & Papa

Yes! I know The Grand Hotel! So lovely and romantic. Hope you didn't find any strange old pennies there. Wouldn't want you to get stuck back somewhere in time.

Willow -No pennies - but great memories walking the porches, walkways and halls of this exquisite place! Time seems to stand still there!

I have been to Grand Hotel many times and love it! I'm a huge fan of the fudge they have on the island -- yum!

the garden in front of the hotel is nice. I was nearly attacked by a goose there!

Blessings!

I'm so glad you both had a wonderful time at the retreat. I love and miss you two so very much. Have a wonderful time in Oregon and please give my sisters a hug from me. Praying for traveling mercy and for God to be glorified throughout the trip XOX

Razor - the reasons they have so much fudge on the island is because of all those horses, they have to recycle that "stuff" somehow! lol

GCH - They will get hugs - for sure!! Is it okay if I give them two hugs each??

horse fudge..hahahaha hahahahaha hahahaha

Think green..think green or is that think brown..you know all that recycling stuff..

Darla - I love fudge! I rarely question its originality ----

I'm praying here....

...that you get lost and end up here! =P

I'm so glad she took to the fine tuning. I take it that means she kept YOU in line? mwahahaha

Indian Lake Papa said...

Crossview - hey !! i am fine - just fine! Say, would you like some fudge ??

CrossView said...

ROFL!
No thanks!
I have my own horse!
=P

(Still sore from that beating, I take it?)

Indian Lake Papa said...

Crossview - Did you know it is real tough typing when you are in a full body cast? The thing that really bothers me is I said "Amen" real loud once during the presentation and now I can't see! THe doctor said the swelling of my eyes should be going down soon. I miss seeing sweet mama!

Did I mention that I just adore your wife? ;o)

Tell her I said "Good shot-s"!

And remember- men should be seen and not heard!

Ok. I'll behave but only because I'm on my way out the door. WARNING! I'll be back....

And just 'cause I can be serious; watch this:

Crossview - will I be getting a "get well soon" card in the mail ? Doesn't sound like it.

CrossView said...

Did your precious wife wear herself out keeping you in line? Does she need a card??!! =/

CrossView said...

Oh! And did you watch that awesome video??!!

Indian Lake Papa said...

Crossview - I did watch the video - very good! The card would be for me !! not Mama!! lol

CrossView said...

Ooooooooooooooooooooh!!
I misunderstood.
*snicker*

No point in sending you a "Get Well" card. You'll just misbehave and start it all over again! =P

Indian Lake Papa said...

Crossview - You are breaking my heart! Now I will cry. Mama still loves me - gotta go - mama is calling and she means get here now! Its tough to hustle in this body cast!

Have a great trip Papa. I look forward to seeing the videos of you guys with the Tam and Brent and their family.

If you are doing the driving I am sure Mama will be praying the whole way to Oregon. :)

Hi Ed! We are flying out - so hopefully mama or I are not doing the "driving'. I am sure Deb or Tam may have some pics or clips while there. I just hope at Tam's we don't have Oreo stew or soup - do you think Tam can cook ??? I am not sure about Deb either - but I heard Deb's hub can cook good!

Okay..Tam can cook..and none of us lost any weight while there, and i didn't need any tums either.. soooo now I am thinking about it again..pray for my jealousy! :)

Make sure you show Tam how to use the Mac to video chat on Yahoo...I know you do it with me..sooo she needs to be shown...have to love her...its like a law or something...pretty sure ;)

Tam- I am working on that too from my end...did you know Scott passed his permit test for CDL ... i wonder if the machine looks anything like a rig?

Indian Lake Papa said...

Darla - I am so glad Tam can cook! Any daughter of mama and papa has to be able to cook! I will work with her on Yahoo IM. Tell Scott congrats !!!

I envy you your trip (although envy may not be a good choice!). I've been in the lobby of the Grand Hotel, but have never stayed there. Richard and I considered it once, but the price prompted us to chose a hotel in Mackinaw City instead!

It's still a dream of mine.

Indian Lake Papa said...

Char - I hear that! Our night was a special conference price so it wasn't too bad, and it included 3 meals in the gala dining hall - $290. We arrived a day early and stayed at Mackinaw City as well!

You crack me up! Horse fudge.

I posted another installment of the story that is still untitled. The lack of a title really bugs me.

Hope you have a great day!
