Life Stories!

Recently I have observed several 'life stories' on various blogs. I would share mine but it really is non-eventful. I was raised in a Christian home with a wonderful family - I never saw my mother or father drink alcohol or smoke - they were great parents. I have never drank a beer, only tasted wine on occasion, the most alcohol I have had has been in cough syrup! We have had our family crisis' and have worked through them. Soooo, papa's life story would be boring.

However, it has been exciting. I have been married to mama longer than most of you have lived, except Tam is catching up quickly (birthday tomorrow - 11/14)! Mama and I have been married 43 years.

Some of you have been through serious crisis' and some are still going through crisis'. As I read your stories, see your lives unfolding, I take them very personally, so does mama. A significant portion of our time in prayer, every evening, is for you - our blogging family. We see this as a ministry - a very personal one. Some of you have visited our home, we have visited yours, we have hugged, wept and prayed together. We have emailed and talked on the phone.

I just wanted you to know that mama and papa care. When we pray for our children, our son and our daughter each evening and throughout the day, we also think of you, by name and whisper that name to Jesus.

If you have burdens and prayer requests, pass them on to mama and I. We care about you.

Sorry, can't give you money, that goes to Amos for hay!

Thanks Papa for the good advice. You are so so so right (as usual!!! :0). Part of my slow down to speed up in other areas is pause in blogging. I miss it, but have to build in "tea time with Him" to stay sane!!! Your encouragement is reminder that is most important. I have not forgotten about my latest assignment either... looking forward to getting to that as well. I LOVE YOU AND MAMA!!! Roxx

Every testimony is beautiful, and I thank GOD that everyone did not have to take the road i had to take to get to HIM. I have no regrets today...I am here now, and now is awesome! Thank you for your prayers, and just know I am praying for you and mama too.

(shhhhh I am older than you have been married)

I often wonder what it would be like if everyone had a testimony like yours Papa. I think that would be a pretty cool world.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated! I have a special unspoken request that I'd love for you to pray about.

Pray also for the new life that will be joining us in 23 days give or take a week or two... We are excited!

Ric - the world would be a much calmer place if everyone had a testimony like Papa - just about heaven on earth.

But I'm thankful for the hard times I've experienced because they have taught me a lot and given me compassion for others. Unfortunately I still have so much to learn and far to go...

There are many wounded souls who need to know they are not alone. God uses the extreme stories from The Body to reach them...

And there are those who don't have the extreme stories. But they know something is missing. God can use the tamer lives to reach out to them.

He will lovingly use each and every one and match them up with someone who needs only what you have to offer.

Isn't He amazing?

dang. and i was gonna ask for 5 bucks!

this family in Oregon feels your prayers, mama and papa. we truly do!

i would ask that you would continue to pray that we will, as a family, be sensitive to the Lords leading - and that we would be willing... to be willing.

i love you!

Just a little slow..., but I'm with you :) Actually I would have considered your suggestion except for my dear friend Lynetta named one of her twins James and it might get confusing with two babies same age same name (they'd even have the same initals) at the same church.

So keep the J name suggestions coming for a boy... We have a girl name already... I like to look at the meanings of the name too. I will (some time) send you an email about how we came to agreement on the girl name my husband chose. I was dead set against it, but changed my mind. I think that is part of the reason that I feel convinced that its a girl. Pop me an email sometime to remind me to tell you...

Thanks again for all your prayers! So very appreciated!

Much love,
Robin

your life story is powerful, papa. we get "tricked" into thinking that our testimony lacks luster if it doesn't involve some big sins or horrible circumstances. the fact that God saved you from those things makes your life story an incredible testimony of His hand on you!

grit - Jesus is powerful - He has had His hand on my life for many, many years!
