No Presents for Mama!

No presents for mama this year from papa! Yes, she has been a good girl - mama is the best! But no presents for papa from mama either. Papa's behavior may be debatable.

We have decided we only have things on our lists we would like - not need. My list has about a dozen things so does mama's - but we have decided to concentrate on giving to others who are in need this year. Some of our own family has needs and there are others in our circle of friends that could use some help. Pray for mama and papa that we are obedient to our Savior during the holiday season. You may think this early, however we celebrate Christmas with our family this week. On Sunday we head for Florida.
We will be praying that God will use you during the Christmas season. Have a very Merry Christmas! We love you all!!

You guys are terrific! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas with your family this week. Safe travels to Florida too!

We are just taking it easy this week and will have our Thanksgiving late (after the baby is born sometime) because I really don't feel up to making a grand meal now. Rick is working a double on Thanksgiving, so it will be just me and the kids at home.

Thanks for your love and prayers!

Papa, you and Mama have the true spirit of the holidays, which should be about giving not receiving. Unless we are taking about a sports car or a trip to Hawaii. :)

Just a week. Hooray. I love the picture. It looks like Papa has a fancy hat on. It must be something on the wall, but it sure looks like Papa is all fancy for the holiday. I have heard so much this year about getting back to the true meaning of Christmas and I'm with you. I have all I need and have too much that I wanted and now don't need. God bless you and I can't wait to meet you and Mama.

Great idea!

Many years we (7 of us) will find a family that has hit hard times and provide them all the trimmings for Christmas... Food, gifts, etc. Then we get it to them anonymously. Being anonymous is the best part. ;o)

Nana - Snowy here today - how is it down south ? I pray no snow! :o)

Crossview - Christmas has already begun w/mama and papa - we will be praying for you as you serve as well.

This is Mama
I don't really need anything. After while it is all STUFF and our daughter doesn't want to have to go through a lot of stuff when I am gone. Ha!
Like Papa said we had more fun seeing happiness on peoples faces when we did things for them.
Have a happy Thanksgivning
Mama

I'm so glad that you two aren't exchanging gifts. Really. It's so clear that your heart is happy. That you both are content and have what you need.... And it's EXTRA clear that you would be happier to give it away than keep it for yourselves. :)
