Having a bad day?

Ever have one of those days when you thought you had life all figured out? And then from out of no where, every thing just seems to go to - well, lets just say "go to pieces"?

Today is Monday, and it has not really gone well. Mama and I are in the midst of a "remodeling" project and what a mess! Nothing went easy all day, but finally, about 4 pm thinks are looking better. Hopefully by the end of the week it will be done! Whew, I hope your week goes well!

Very funny video. It's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything beacuse I laughed so hard it would have come out my nose.

There are some things I might be able to help you with but home projects are not one of them. If you want someone to break something I am your man.

You must have been very tried watching Mama do all that work. :)

ED - first I could do that with Amos - but won't!

Actually, we have a great contractor friend - he is the best. But - mama will do the painting. I hope she gets my ice tea before I plop in front of the TV. I may have to caution her to be quiet when I take my nap.

Yes sir....we have all had those days!!! LOL. As Eccl. says, enjoy the good days and endure the rest. Blessings on a better "rest of the week!"

Strider - trying to "Remodel" an older mobile home is "fun" HEH!

Sometimes I feel like everyone is "dumping on me" haha, that is what I thought when I saw your video. :) Day is going well here. We had been told last week that the consulate did not have a document we needed to complete the adoption but were notified today that the INS is resending it. How nice of them. :) Hope your mess is getting cleaned up and your place is all nicely remodeled by next winter so I can come for a visit. :)

Oh man!!!! Thanks for the funny comment. Loved it.

HI Jo! Your daddy loves you! THanks for stopping by! The project here is going - but not as smooth as we would like! Feel like dumped on today! We will see how it goes. Glad they got that paper work straightened out!

Love you.
Dad

Strider - whether we like it or not - we are role models - people are watching!

Hmm,even with the events of your day, I would say it was much better than the girl's in the video!!

do NOT. i repeat, do NOT let Ed help you! unless you have great homeowners insurance.

love you, ed! ;-)

papa, with your eyes and the way you look at life and obstacles...i know it will be just fine!

Surely it can't be as bad as the video??!!

I hope you get a nice nap while your wife paints. And I hope she paints *quietly* some nice colors on the napping statue!

Tam - fortunately Ed and I are separated by many miles! This project will end up fine - just getting there is the issue.

SHaron - this too shall pass!

Crossview - Its not too bad - I will nap with one eye open - your not that far away!

CrossView said...

So if I happen to be headed that way, I should help your wife paint??!! Great idea! ;o)

Indian Lake Papa said...

Crossview - on second thought I will nap with BOTH eyes open!

I understand...those days are not easy but at least there is always tomorrow. I hope your project gets done quickly and with more ease...sounds frustrating when something doesn't go according to plan.

Did you guys read the book yet? I have a couple questions for you...can you email me at:

Thanks Papa & Mama...

Kim - today was not a good day - we keep running into snags that complicate this remodeling project!! I feel like I just crawled out from under that horse!

Hang in there, we all have those days we just want to crawl back in bed and start all over. As they say tho, Life does go on :)

Papa,

You just made me laugh out loud. Thank you. Tell Jo Ellen to hang in there. Sometimes navigating two major world powers to get to your daughter can be very frustrating but she is doing great!

Edwina - today was a tough day! But it is salvageable! As I have said before, "this too shall pass!"

Indian Lake Papa said...

ROxx - it was great to video chat with you! We are just fine! I don't like snags, but they really are workable - so papa just deals with the frustration.

Yes! I have had many days like that but somehow God ends up saving the day. I pray your day got better and that you feel God's presence in the middle of the chaos. I love you!

Indian Lake Papa said...

Oh, GROSS!!!

I've never had a day like that!

EWWWWW!!!

I hope your week in improving, Papa.

Michelle - today (Wednesday) will hopefully be a day we turn the corner. We ran into a major remodeling snag as we quit yesterday - today we need to get over that hurdle. Then things should improve.

You know, I've fealt just like her from time to time.
A picture IS worth a thousand words.

Indian Lake Papa said...

Jerald - thanks for stopping by. THings are going better on the remodeling project.

CrossView said...

So did ya turn the corner or slam into a wall?

Indian Lake Papa said...

Crossview - made big progress today. We were able to get over big hurdles today. We have still a lot of work to do, but right now it looks like we are moving right along. Our major hurdle was to remove the tub and put in a full length shower unit - we had to re-do water lines, drains and make everything fit. We are finishing it all off now. Next week - the old sink unit goes!

I stopped trying to figure out my days and I just give it to God. I would make myself crazy trying to figure out this and that, and then I would move to try to figure out people and there is a challenge for me. So, I just say, I am yours God use me the way you need to use me. God bless you and He will use you both. Love Tanya

Indian Lake Papa said...

Tanya - today I have found myself giving God thanks for His help in even this remodeling project. We are so blessed.

Ummmm! I just had this thought:

You started this "bathroom" remodeling project Monday, I believe. Today is Thursday. Oh yeah, now I understand the horsie video!!! lol

Hi JAnis! This bathroom project will go for a couple of weeks for sure! It is quite major to say the least. We are replacing the tub w/a shower unit, new sink, reset the toilet, new cabinets and new flooring. The shower was the major project.
