Snow - Yuk!

This is my grand daughter waving - I think. The only skin I can see is her nose - brrrr. As you can tell from the picture, snow is awful! Snow gets on the roads and can make for very dangerous conditions. Too much can collapse your roof. People have died in avalanches - serious frost bite can occur. We probably should ban snow.

However - if we (or at least papa, mama & Ed) were younger we would want to be out on that hill - on the sled. I would put Ed up front, to catch the snow, mama in the middle (I would hang onto mama real tight - heh heh!) and me on the back. The more on the sled the better!

Snow sometimes reminds me that as I look at an issue I sometimes see the negative side when others see a positive side. Who is right? Probably both sides are. I know I need to be very careful with my negative attitude at times.

If you want to go for a sled ride - papa will send you directions how to get there. By the way, the temp up there today is going to be a high just above zero ! Papa is staying in Florida!

I agree with you - perspective is important. And I agree that snow is yuck! So, to be positive, I have to say that snow is beautiful as long as I'm down south without having to feel it, I can enjoy pictures of it! ;o)

This post is giving me fits too. First you say your granddaughter. Then you say its not your daughter, which you never said in the first place so we are back to your granddaughter. Do you even know what you said????????

I used to love snow, then I got smart (old)!

Janis - when I first did this post I thought it was actually my grandson!! Then, looking at it closer, I thought it was my daughter - then rechecking, I decided it was my grand daughter. So I actually had to change the narrative three times! I am sure Crossview is totally confused.

Papa, there is some new snow on the ground here. I am watching some kids outside on sleds.

The temps are single diget and the wind chill below zero.

The kids don't notice the cold and I can stay nice and warm inside my condo. We are both happy.

Remember Papa if I am in front on the sled it means Mama is holding on to me. :)

ED - I just moved mama to the back of the sled! Now guess who is hanging onto you!

It's all a matter of perspective! 1/2 empty or 1/2 full? I'm needing to keep a close watch on my attitude latey - maybe if the temperature were to rise above the freezing mark, my attitude would rise a bit????

LA - cloudy days ands cold temps play havoc on my attitude! Even in Florida!

I took my youngest daughter sledding a couple of times over the Christmas Holiday. The last time we went, it was 13 degrees. 24 ours later, a warm wind blew in, got to 52...and I was finished with sledding....at least for awhile.

Yep, I will confirm that it is indeed your Grand daughter. Kind of hard to tell with only her nose poking out! :) It is freezing here by the way so I need you to send us a little heat!
Love ya!

Jo- I finally figured it out! I had to re-do the post three times!

I LOVE SNOW! We have a beautiful white blanket of it covering our little edge of Iowa right now:) AND...we are having a heat wave! It is 14 degrees out today (with a feel like temp of -3). You may think that sounds a little chilly, but the night before last it was 50
degrees below 0 with the wind chill. See...told you we are having a heat wave;)

Love ya!

We haven't had snow yet this year and my kids are BUMMED. They did go to a ski resort on Tuesday with friends to go snow tubing and they had a blast.

I want to come for a visit :) Where are your grandchildren - surely there isn't snow in Florida?

Roxx - who knows - maybe this book dream will be more than just a dream.

Tam - do you really think I would let Ed on the same sled with mama ?? Maybe with me - but maybe not.

Carol - thats why we are here! Heh Heh !

Heather - no snow here! May get just less than 30 here tonight though.

Robin - grandkids are in Michigan - we are her in Florida - my daughter or son-in-law took the pics! Near Ann Arbor, MI.

Reeaally cold here, not much snow though. We get mostly ice lately...

There is always a positive side to everything. I have trouble seeing it too sometimes...

Luckily God can help us with that...

SCott - I don't like ice at all! Only in my iced tea!

Papa, we would love to have just a small portion of the snow in these pictures!!
It's freezing here tonight, our low is going to be 9F. and I say if it's going to be freezing anyway, couldn't we just have some snow?
