24 Hrs - Thu. 4:45PM EST thru Fri.4:45PM EST

Have you ever been on a teeter-totter?? I am sure most of us have. Have you ever been the "little one" on the end?? That takes trust! Do you think Sara in the picture is fearful that her new daddy will hurt her? Do you think he is going to jump off and let her fall?

The next 24 hours are scary for papa. As I type this right now at 5pm est, Sara should be on her first leg of a two flight journey to home in Chelsea, MI. The journey will cover 24 hours from Hong Kong, China to Detroit, MI.

I need to trust my God to get them home safely. But I think it's okay if papa prays a little - don't you?

The Plane has arrived!! 1:00PM EST !! All is well !! Everyone is tired! :o)

5PM UPDATE: Trip went very well - Sara stayed awake the whole trip!! She had fun was no problem. Only cried at Detroit customs when the Custom Agent picked her up - that had to be traumatic for her - she probably thought he was taking her. MAMA AND PAPA THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS - GOD BLESS

Hey papa. I couldn't remember what time you announced in church last night that the kids would be starting their flight homr so I started praying for them around 2:30 this afternoon and will continue to pray for them and await word that they are "home". Keep the updates coming. I'm excited for all of you!!!!

Janis - thank you for your prayers and concerns - I will keep the updates coming. By the way, this morning we did a 3-way video chat. China, Michigan & Florida all at the same time - if we can do that God can do so much more!

She's looking good. Just as she trusts her new daddy.....we will trust our "Daddy" to give them traveling grace, peace, and rest. Amen. Strider

Annie - I think God created us for prayer - even His son prayed to His father.

Janis - it is very exciting - we have not talked to them yet. I am sure they are exhausted and suffering from time warp. They left Tokyo st about 3pm this afternoon and got to Detroit at 1pm, two hours earlier. I think!

Ed - we feel blessed - someday I need to tell you my "grandpa" story. Basically I told God I would give up my grandpa role if He would help rescue my daughter. He has humbled me with His miracles and abundant blessings!

Hi Papa,
The job doesn't put me to sleep -- just keeps me busy. Sorry I missed the Sara journey. She's precious. When will you get to meet her?

Indian Lake Papa said...

Char - we don't get to see/hug that precious child until the end of March! Grandma - is anxious to get her hands on her!

Daizy - so glad your back! hope to see more of you!!

I am slowly but surly catching up. I just read this over at your daughter's blog. I am so happy for everyone!!!

Also, thank you for loving on my family, and for praying us/me through our recent bouts with illness. I felt your prayers, and I felt loved.

Love you,
R

Roxx - It has been amazing! It is one of those miracles you pray for, and your faith is weak, but He goes above and beyond what you ask! I am very humbled right now!
