Brother & Sister

This is one of my favorite pictures - this was taken early one spring day - flying kites. This is my son and daughter - they have always been close and on speaking terms.

To me the closeness of siblings needs to be nurtured and encouraged. Years ago both went through serious challenges due to choices made in their lives - today, years later, after living states apart - they are now 15 minutes from each other and are supportive of each other.

Those of us that are brothers and sisters in Christ need to learn from that. We need to learn to get along and be supportive of each other. My two children are as different as night and day, but they love each other. Lets look today and see if we have any 'brother & sister' relationships we need to mend or restore.

Did it take your two until they were all mature enough to be able to get along??!!

There may be hope for mine??!!

Brothers and sisters in Christ are just like an earthly family- fussing and squabbling and all the rest. But I always figure as "adults" we should be able to do better....

But you're just stuck with me, ILP! =P

Crossview - they actually did great as kids - really - very few squabbles!

I would think there is hope for yours - lol!

Crossview - you are a very special friend - I am glad we are stuck together as friends - brother & sister in Christ. You are a very special lady.

Oh Papa, you are so right. I have been helping the little lady next door, and she said that her two sons do not speak to one another. I thought this to be sad. I pray everyday for Luke and Melanie. That they keep their relationship with each other. But I need to be the example to them. I am going to patch up my relationship with my sister. At least my side of it. Life is to short to not have a relationship. Thank you for the encouragement and I am so glad that your children are so close. Love Tanya

You are right Papa. We are all part of one family.

If people can learn to love, and respect, each other like brother and sister, the world will be a much better place.

Papa! thanks so much for checkin in on me. I'm just busy and haven't been blogging as much, but doing well. Please tell momma hello for me and I've been thinking about you two as well. I need to go get 'though none go with me'.

Hi Papa,

Thought I would check in so you could stop worrying! I am doing just fine! I am healed completely (although I do have a little cold right now). It was a very LONG haul. I have only been completely healed for about 2 weeks. However, I made it through and God is good!

I am in the process of moving and leaving my job, so I have many 'loose' ends. I really just haven't felt like blogging lately. Not sure if it is a season of quiet that God has brought me to or laziness:)

Please know I think of you often and I will be back!!

Love you...and mama! Thank you for your prayers. I covet them!

Hi Mama and Papa

This post really hit home for me. Not because I'm at odds with any brother or sister but because I believe that the Body is being faced with more challenges now than ever and need to stand united against the enemy. Sadly brothers and sisters in Christ are the ones that harm each other the most. Thanks for the reminder that we are called to love one another as Christ loved us.

Love you so much.

GCH - why do we do that ?? We should work extra hard at being in sync with our bro & sis' in Christ! We need to do better!
