Mock Auction Over!

I intentionally covered the table in the first auction post. I wanted people to look at the value of the items with what information I gave you. The table was just as valuable covered as uncovered - except you did not know it. In a sense, it's value was hidden. The flowers and the afghan had no real bearing on the value of the table. although, for a 100 years or better the table has been serving as it was intended.

God has a purpose and a design for each life - that is why He created us. some of us have not really allowed him to use us accordingly. We have held back - refused or just don't see our worth. We need to let him use us.

Secondly, look at all the lives around you that their value is hidden or covered by negative life circumstances. Hidden sometime by choice and fear. Particularly children. Lets each of us, as we mingle with others, be positive, an encourager to those around us. Lets really love the kids - okay?

Mama and papa pray for you all. Some by name and even those of you who stop by but never drop us a note. God Bless!

Peter - one of the blessings I have received from your blog is that in the midst of you fighting a major battle with Leukemia, you have let Christ shine through your life. Always Peter, be what Christ intended.

Crossview - we really need to look closer at those who we rub shoulders with don't we?!

Very rich indeed, Papa. Thanks for your unique way of drawing us in!

Carol - not only is their beauty in the table - if you close you can see that it has aged and there are a few cracks here and there. It has been bumped into a few times and some scars - life seems to do that.

Velly, velly good post. Someone was telling me the other day that they knew someone who worked where they made furniture to look like antiques. They use chains to hit the wood to make it look like its old and well used. My kids took care of that without chains!!!

Heh Heh Janis - no chains on this one! It actually looks great - very few 'dings'.

Great words Papa, very true.

There is great beauty in all life. It is when we look past our outside covers, to see the beauty within, that we can experience the full joy that all life brings.

Of course my outside cover is a little more worn looking then most peoples. :)

Ed, has your outside cover have as many wrinkles as mine ?? Mama does a good job getting rid of her wrinkles.

LOL! But I've found those are the very ones "whose value is hidden".... ;o)

Great concept Papa! I think sometimes we look at what we want to see [the outside] in a person rather than looking on the inside and seeing first and foremost the pain, and second their need for unconditional love and acceptance from us in the same way God had shown us throughout our lives. Love you two!

Good morning GCH. I think sometimes we just don't notice - maybe too busy or our thoughts are elsewhere. Whatever the reason, we need to "stop and smell the roses" but perhaps notice the "blight" on the leaves, or we will soon lose our roses.

You are one of my special roses - a true Hybrid - a one of a kind variety. Your petals are a special beauty that God has created with a special purpose in His flower garden. As one of our special flowers in God's garden, mama and I will do our best to take care of you as He instructs. We love you! We never want to lose you!
