4th of July - a fun time! I think!

This was mama last year - making homemade ice cream! In a day or two we will be doing this again. We make one of three freezers of homemade ice cream - we end up with 16 quarts of ice cream for about 35 people. Already some of mama's extended family have started to arrive. We will peak on Saturday with 35 to 40 family members.

Most of you know that we live on a church camp ground of over 300 acres. The camp has three motel units, approximately 25 rustic cabins you can rent, and 150 RV sites with full hook-ups. Every thing by Friday will be filled up! There are 175 homes like mama and papa's here as well. Most of mama's extended family will eat all of their meals at our house from Thursday through Sunday.

I have one question, does anybody have a spare room I could rent starting any day now until Monday noon?? Please ?? I'll bring some ice cream! Please take pity on papa!!

If you are going to be making ice cream for forty people I hope you are using an electric one, it does look like yours is hooked up to a power cord. Other wise your arms are going to be awfully tired. This is one case I would go with modern over traditional.

Have a great time with all your family and friends on the 4th.

I will be at a BBQ at my cousine's house, only 6 of us.

We will be staying in a motel in Statesville,NC watching the State All Star Tournament. Mikey will be playing Friday night, two games Saturday, one game Sunday, and depending on how they do, one Monday and one Tuesday. They have already played and won 4 games two weeks ago, and 4 games this weekend, where they came form 6 runs down in the bottom of the last inning to win. That's two local championships, now it's on to the state. If they win here there may be a regonal tournament and that will be in Orlando. Between that and building Mikey's mom a house out in the pasture, I need to join you in that hideaway.
Have a good 4th, see ya this winter for rest.

I assume that all this is being said with tongue in cheek as I would shudder to think that my presence would cause people to want to flee miles away from me. :) Bonnie

By the way I did finally get your blog site on my "favorites"
