Taking the plunge!

The top photo is papa on the 40' tower just before I stepped off on the zip line. I was fine but will admit you become quite anxious just before you step off. The man at the top making sure you are hooked in properly is Paul a good friend and the encourager who says you can do this - even at 67 (mama's age). In the picture below is mama as she stepped off the tower and began her ride down the zip line. Mama was confident in the harness and instructions from the man at the top of the stairs - without either she would have been in serious trouble. If she would have showed up at the top of the stairs without a harness, she would have been rejected and turned back.

As we walk with Christ we are encouraged to make preparations for our walk. We need to be reading our bibles and praying. We need to do all we can to prepare. Are you ready to begin this journey with Him? Listen for His voice as He encourages you.

A side note - mama and papa's house is just behind the trees in the picture. We can hear the screams of the riders of the zip line from our front porch!

This is Mama
I was surprised at the fact that I was a little scared just before I descended. It was fun once you knew you were ok, I was surprised to see Papa right behind me. :) The children love it. We have had a man in his 80's also do the zip line
Have a great day. Mama

I'm proud of Mama and Papa for taking the zip line plunge. It's a 300' ride to the other end. Everybody wants to take the ride, but not all are willing to get into the harness and climb the 30' stairway to the top.

And I can hear Papa saying...everyone wants to go to heaven, but not all are willing to accept Jesus as their Savior, in a step of faith, and follow in His footsteps.

The choice is yours...what's Papa say...choices are simple, but not always easy. It's the first step that is the hardest...the first step off the tower onto the zip line, and the first step of placing your trust in Christ. The rest of the ride is the thrill of your life!!!

The only way I'm going up that high is due to the rapture! LOL I'm scared of heights.

Thats too bad Parsley - you may want to practice before the rapture, just so you don't chicken out!

That does look like a lot of fun.

A 10 foot platform would be more my speed.

We will take many leaps of faith in our lives. We do need the strong harness of trust when we do.

Thank God you don't have to "do" heights before the rapture cause I would be out of luck. I can assure you that "not everybody" wants to do that tower thingy!!!!!!! Absolutely no way!! Nada!!! Forget it!!! Over my dead body!! And the screaming of those doing it would drive me nuts! (I'm almost there now!)

Dont even suggest it tome.....Do you get the message????

Ah, the joys of camp. At least you get to participate in the fun. Glad you're safely back in Michigan and closer to your grand kids.

Peter - I kidded Paul that he now has his chance to push me! He is very safety conscious.

Char - come back to Michigan and I will do my best to get you a ride on the zip line.
