Clutter !!

I have been riding my bike through the neighborhood lately. Today something caught my eye - garages with cars parked outside. I stopped and looked at several of them and just shook my head. There was absolutely no way you could get a car in! I thought when a garage was built it was to park a car in? Don't we describe garages as one car, two car or maybe even three car garages? Shhheeesh!! My garage is one car, and I can park my car in it - thats what it was designed for.

I got to thinking, how cluttered is my life? Is Jesus getting in like He would like to or am I keeping him outside because I have too much other stuff crowding Him out? Is my mind so preoccupied with other stuff that throughout the day He is not in there? I have social stuff, sports, and all kinds of stuff that is in there. I am sure He could crowd in there somewhere. That reminds me, tomorrow starts college football on TV - gotta make room for that! Lets see, where was I? Oh yeah, making room for Jesus - I hope my Michigan State Spartans win tomorrow - boy, I just can't keep focused, I wonder what the problem is??? What was I designed for anyway??

"Busyness" and "clutter" are two things I've been working on getting rid of. And it's so hard! Amen to this post. Can you follow up with a really simple "How to" post??!! ;o)

Crossview - maybe I can work on that post soon. Let me think about it. It takes desire and hardwork.

LOL! I'm kidding. I want the really shorthand version. And as a woman, my "stuff" has sentimental value so it's hard to let go of. Men seem to attach less importance to it. But the busyness I've been whittling down for the past few years. And it feels good!

Time for a garage sale!
Well, you don't actually sell the garage, but you know what I mean. :-)
Lord help us to keep what is important, give away what someone else could put to good use, toss the junk and to be able to know where it all really belongs.
Amen!

Crossview - I go through our garage twice a year at least. Gotta keep the clutter down! I work on my heart every day - it clutters up fast!

Peter - some you sell, other stuff you give away - and then theres the trash that shouldn't be in there to start with - hummmm!

GCH !!!! Thanks for stopping by! How are you doing?? God bless!!

I see the Spartans won their first game, but I wouldn't call Montana St a very difficult opponent. You guys should pick on someone your own size. :)

I have four rooms, three are perfectly clean. You can guess where I throw all my clutter.

Ed - next week we play Central Michigan - they are actually rated quite high - I think their quarterback is #4 in the nation. So we may have our first test. Ohio State is in big trouble next week!

Is room #4 where you put guests, cats, etc. ?

Deb - He is there all around us, easier to see if we don't have a lot of clutter - distractions. Life clutters/distracts us quite easily. I pray for you that with all that life is bringing your way that you can stay focused on Him. I know that is your priority.

I really am Papa...nothing comes to me that does not first pass through His MASSIVE hands...that gives me the courage to face tomorrow, and faith that He will indeed walk me through.
