A VERY SPECIAL DAY!

Sunday, September 6, 2009 was a very special day. Sara in the white dress was dedicated by her parents to God. It was a very special service with several very important thoughts.

1) Sara was dedicated to God - His child.
2) Parents committed to raising Sara in a Christian home.
3) Extended family, including mama and papa said "We will!" when the pastor asked if we would help to ensure that Sara has a Christian upbringing.

This was an important day in not only Sara's life but each of us that will share and have an impact in her life. Pray for us all.

That must have been a special moment for the whole family.

Beautiful Sara is blessed to be a part of your family, as you all are blessed to have her.

I LOVE THIS PICTURE AND EVERYTHING IT MEANS:

GOD'S GRACE
GOD'S MERCY
GOD'S LOVE

Can't believe my good fortune to know such amazing people!!!

PS: Almost done with all my classes Papa. On the down hill slope now.

PPSS: Do you happen to know how I can get my hands on a chronilogical Bible. I haven't Googled it yet. May already be one available online. But if I hit a road block am wondering if you know or if you know of a resource that would have it all layed out for me (eg: a word doc with the books in order)? No worries if not, just thought I'd pick your brain.

What a wonderful family God has given to this little girl, and what a beautiful day it must have been. You behave Papa, and teach her right now ;-)

Love you guys!

Roxx - it means much to me - you see, 20 years ago this "picture" was not a possibility - God's Grace, Mercy, & Love made it happen.

I have an ESV (English Standard Version) Study Bible that I carry to church in a cloth bag. It is bulky but I love it for studying! Lets Video Chat before you buy a bible.

Deb - I will behave as long as she stays out of my space at the parade when they are throwing candy! LOL SHe is a character! Ha!

Sounds good Papa. I want to read the Bible in chronological order when I am done with my classes. I want to see it from a time line perspective because I want to see how God uses imperfect people and how they grow along the way. For example, how Paul started out arrogant, lightened up, and then gave it to God sharing he was the chief of sinners. I want to see that in people in the Bible. I am excited. As soon as I wrap up these goofy classes I will chat with you on topic. Right now I am timelining the history of Pacific Northwest kind of stuff and I am so close and so ready to be DONE!!! xoxoxo, Roxx

Very darling picture of your newest sweetheart!! What a special day in her life and the life of your family.

Please let Roxanne know that "The Daily Bible" (in the New International Version, published by Harvest House Publishers)"is the ultimate daily reading Bible, bringing together for the first time: Correct chronological/historical arrangement of every book of the Bible." The 365 daily reading segments make it possible to read the entire Bible in chronological order in one year.

Now that I have found it on my shelves, I think I may make it my devotional Bible for 2010. My last reading was in 1994, So much of the Bible is repetition and it does skip around some as far as order, so this Bible "edits" God's Word to put it in the order it happened, and gives the story one time (such as the Gospels...often retelling the story in their own way.)

I highly recommend this version for anyone looking for a year long walk with God through His Word.

i love baby dedications! they are my favorite thing at church.

sara is, indeed, blessed to have had the opportunity to have you all as a loving family. no one knows what her future holds, but we know Who holds her future. and to be committed as a family of believers to help one another in this journey is quite a special thing.

i love you papa...mama too!!
