Down & Out? Well Maybe not!!

Sometimes when we think life has hit us the hardest is when we need to really get going! I admit at times when things seem the roughest I want to just give up - but I refuse. I struggle with my attitude with Parkinson Disease more than the disease itself. This next week I am going to really try and kick an exercise program in gear - based primarily on bike riding. Starting with 5 miles a day or better. How are you doing with your attitude when life seems tough? Feel trapped? Be confident - remember two important things - 1) God is Sovereign! 2) All His resources are at your disposal! Never give up!

Hi IL Papa! Yes...email me your address. I'm a new stitcher but I'd be happy to make you and IL Mama a little cross stitch something.

I love the video. But I really wish it wasn't a rodent. I don't like rodents. And it's hard for me to root for a rodent. =P

Crossvie: LOL !! IT is just a bit of irony isn't it!

For heaven's sake, ILP, where do you come up with all this stuff!! (the video) Wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it or not, but glad I did. I hate to see things get hurt...glad that cheese made him strong.

Regarding attitudes, just read in my devotional this morning that our attitudes are up to us to control...no one else can. We are responsible for any root of bitterness or jealousy or anger that we allow to stay in our "garden". We must continually pull up the weeds before they take root. We must instead be forgiving, and merciful, and trust the Father. He knows what He is up to. Basically the same thing you said...just confirming it!

I love this - I love how we change our "tune" so to speak with our circumstances. I believe we can absolutely take a bad situation and use it to make us stronger. I pray, Papa, that you will become stronger each day as you exercise your body with biking. Good for you to motivate yourself, pick yourself up and do more because of your diagnosis instead of giving yourself permission to do less. I pray, also, that you will be an encouragement to others. We are rooting for you!

Papa, you are right that attitude makes the difference when we face life's challenges. Our faith serves as the bases for gaining the confidence we need to overcome these trials.

Good luck with your exercise program. I will be waiting for spring before I get serious about mine, power walking. Although as I get older most of the power has gone out of my walk. It's more of a power crawl now. :)

Cheese would not tempt me as it did that mouse. For bacon on the other hand I'd tackle any trap.

I knew that she would be OK when I saw her wink at the camera.
Have a great day and may God bless you and mama!

Jim more time than not our life feels like this, but you are so right that no matter what we face God is there to see us through and make us stronger. For many of the daily things that John and I go through I have complete peace if the fact that I know that two things. 1. Things could be worse and 2. This too shall pass, better days are yet to come!

LA - Sometimes instead of "giving up" we do need to change the tune!!

ED - I will see if I can find a bacon commercial! LOL

Jammi - Life circumstances we deal with each day - we usually need to work on attitude.

Peter - you know - you never give up!!
