I Love Horses!

I love horses - especially newborn's. The picture shown is actually a wild Mustang foal. Odds in life are less than 50/50 that he will make it. In other words, since this photo, probably taken last summer - he is most likely dead. How sad. He may have been preyed upon by a Mountain Lion or another predator.

When they are young, they play hard - enjoy life! They can run fast! They will suddenly find themselves away from the safety of their mothers and the herd - and just outside that safe area - the predator waits. Mothers warn them but they ignore the warnings and then its too late.

We do the same. We fail to recognize the dangers out there and ignore the signs. Maybe it is a flash of pornography that has found a way to catch your attention. It could just be someone who steps into your life when you feel a void in a relationship that is not fulfilling your life. Then you find yourself making a poor choice destroying relationships - maybe even lives of children because you did not recognize the dangers.

Please, make right choices and watch for the dangers of sin. Sin is destructive but Christ can restore. If you have made bad choices you can still make good choices. Today the tempter will await and seek whom he may devour. Do not let it be you - run to the Savior. You say "its too late!" NO its not - if you just read this, that means God has just given you another chance and He wants you to make a right choice - right now.

What a beautiful face! And that particular one DID make it. And you won't convince me otherwise... =P

Yeah, we tend to like to do things our way. And we don't like to listen... Thankfully, He's a merciful and forgiving God. I know this from experience. ;o)

HUGE words of wisdom here, Papa! We must make captive all of our thoughts that lead to choices that could destroy us, our integrity. Our relationships with others depend on the choices we make. I've made some bad choices in my life, and it has cost me good relationships. I'm extremely cautious in that arena these days, for people are too precious for me to hurt them or to lose a relationship with them. Good lesson today, Papa! (as always) (I do read every post you make, I just don't always comment.)

Crossview - I want to think he made it as well! You and I have both made poor choices at times I am sure. I am thankful for a God who forgives - and forgets.

Carol - we are relationships - no one is born in a vacuum. We just need to safeguard them and be there for each other. It is so easy to drive others away - I pray I do less of that as time goes by! God Bless!!

Have a wonderful day.

Parsley - after I wrote this today - already ran into a serious situation with a friend over a very bad choice. Panic & fear can make us do stupid things.

Peter - I love horses! They are special creatures - really are.

Just like us, God created each of us for a very special purpose.

Papa, great words of wisdom.

Each day brings a fresh challenge. We can strengthen our faith, or be tempted by sin.

Like that mustang foal I have sown a few oats in my time. While my ex-girlfriends weren't mountain lions, that could be a least as dangerous. :)
