Rescued!

The two pictures above are the same horse, Cookie, which I have had the privledge of riding. The picture below is Cookie before she was "rescued". Believe it or not she had a foal in that condition. The foal did not survive. How cruel for a horse to be treated that way. Yet when she was taken To Beauty's Haven, an Equine Rescue farm in Florida, Cookie recovered quickly because staff cared.

There are people coming across our path that need to be rescued. You and I may become the "rescuer". Are you watching for that? It may be a kind word, it may be a helping hand or maybe just a smile. Are you turning away or will you be looking?

Great post! It's so sad to see or hear about animals being treated so poorly, but I rejoice in the fact that there are people who really CARE about them and help.

We do need to watch and take time when someone in need of rescue is sent our way.
Cookie is a beautiful girl now all healthy.

That poor horse..it is sad that some people also abuse kids too...we live in such a harsh cold cruel world but at least there are still some good people out there

THe link below should take you to the web site of the rescue site Parsley. I worked there as a volunteer for 3 years. A very special place.

Michelle, We need to watch & pray. That is so important! Someone may need us.

Anonymous - there is no excuse for abusing kids. NONE. God has "special plans" for those who mess with the kids!!
