Amos, the horse I use to own, is getting close to his senior years so his feeding requirements are changing. He doesn't need a high energy feed, his working requirements will decrease with age. However, to keep his body in good health we want him to have good nutrition. His new owner wants him to stay healthy for many more years.
How is your spiritual health doing? Recently I have been thinking about my health, both physically and spiritually. I have been reading the Bible for over 60 years, maybe I can quit now - think so? In a few days I will be 66. Maybe I will just close up my Bible and put it on a shelf. Prayer, that is another one I can push side - usually its the same old requests and petitions - He already knows anyways before I pray. Devotional reading? Naw, nothing new out there -
Actually - when I get done with this post I will be heading to the prayer cottage here on the church camp. I am so blessed to be able to spend time there. I love the time I spend with my Savior.

I've know the Lord for 30 years but still read my Bible. Every time I read what I think is a familiar passage, I find new things to ponder.
I agree Parsley - I am learning every day - and its relevant today as it was 60 years ago!
If you're still feeding you should still be reading.... ;o)
Ain't that poetic??!!
Crossview - you are a poet and don't even know it! Heh Heh!
Praying for you Papa.

I am very happy to read that Amos's new owner is taking good care of him.
I pasted 66 in May. I don't feel old at all, until I look in a mirror, or try to keep up with the young people walking at the beach. The guy with the walker is starting to catch up with me. :)
We all need some place quiet where we can feed our souls.

Ed - yesterday i met Amos' new owner out at the stable and he met me at the gate - running to me. I went in the pasture and hatered him - opened the gate, he went out and waited for me to close the gate - he was totally loose to run - he never does. i went about 25 feet and got a brush and brushed him down. He is well trained - had a good previous owner! LOL Age is overtaking us Ed. But don't give up the fight.
Read that Bible and Pray continually!
God loves to meet with you even more than Amos does. :-)
And that horse really loves you!
Thanks Peter for the encouragement. I enjoy my private time with my Lord. He really is a close friend.
