I am sure, like me, you would at least like to know what the future holds. The picture was taken about 10 years ago - a very special wedding that mama and papa got to attend. The young lady in the picture is the daughter of very special friends of ours. I am sure that day she was excited but also "curious" as to what God's plan for her life would be. Little would she know that 10 years later she would now be in her 3rd State, full-time church ministry and a mommy of two children. Life changes and God directs our lives if we allow Him.
The young lady and her husband are now pastoring a good size church and she is now a "Pastors wife". Pray for them as they continue on their journey with Him. So far they are endeavoring to make the right choices - I wonder where the next 10 years will find them? Our prayers may impact that so pray they will follow Christ.

Oddly enough, I don't want to know the future. When I was young, I would have balked at the idea of being so content with a life of being a wife and mom. And I would have done all I could to change that course. LOL! So I'd rather wait and see what God has in store. It's like a big surprise package we get to open!
Crossview - I admit knowing the future would be scary - and weird - especially if we could not change it. I guess we just go on with God leading our lives.
thanks for the sweet words. would you beleive that i look older? it has been an incredible journey so far. the blessings have been poured out time and again. GOD is so faithful. my prayer is that the next 10 years look about the same only 10x better. greater things are still to be done!
A. - You are a very special young lady (still young!) and God wants to use you to His fullest! God Bless!!
Very nice Jim. you are a dear...did I already tell you that this week?
Hi Betmarsh! I was thinking this morning how blessed we are to have you as friends and decided to do this post. You really are a very special and neat family.
Thank you for lunch yesterday and thank you for spending time with us. You two are a great blessing!
I know what the future holds - the good guys win! It says that in the Bible. :-)
Jesus is coming soon!
Revelation Chapeter 22
Peter - we had a great time as well !! We thoroughly enjoy your company!
I was surprised that you and mama jumped up from the table so quickly after you were routed so bad by Kim and I! We were definitely on a roll to take 3 out of 5 games! Heh Heh!
I wonder what the future would have held ??
This is Mama..and Peter and I needed to let Papa and Kim win too so they could have fun too. :)
It was great having you two here. God bless you both. Love Mama
It's great to hear of a young couple who have, over the first decade of their marriage, found success in both their ministry, and as a family.
You can add my hopes to your prayers that they will to follow they path they are on.
Ed - they are a precious couple. The young ladies parents are very special friends. Her parents live up in the Adirondacks!! I miss that area.
She is so fortunate to have you as a prayer person. I heart your heart to commune with Him and support His people.
xoxox,
R
Roxx - when we lived close to her family she was a precious little girl. Her parents were - and are - the best. They are still close friends even though we do not see each other very much now.
Hi Papa and Mama,
Hope you are both doing well... neat post...yes I wondered in the past and wonder in the present too what the future holds...
I've been quite busy and haven't read blogs too much...but I will check back again...
Hi Robin! So good to hear from you - mommy activities must be keeping you busy!
Papa, I'm not sure we have 10 years left before Jesus comes! But I do pray that we all have a blessed time living in the present, loving each other and carrying each other's burdens and joys.
Peace
LA - Today I got diagnosed w/Parkinsons, a mild form so who knows what 10 years will hold. We trust our Lord.
Yes my mama duties do keep me busy...this is the first time checking blogs since the last time in July...
Papa - One of my grad school professors was diagnosed with Parkinsons and he did quite well during my time at school with him. I was his assistant, so I spent a lot of time with him. He stayed active. Just trust the Lord through it all... we never know what tomorrow brings...
